Business is important.

ECONOMICS TOLD ME SO.

business helps us organize markets and decide on which resources to make and how the are distributed.

MARKETS ARE GOOD WAYS TO ORGANIZE  AN ECONOMY.

I dont relly know what else to say!?

without business wouldn’t we all be jobless drifters?

Knitting

I love the fact that knitting has become cool. It’s nice to see all the young folk taking up the hobby. I think the whole swing back to a simpler way of life is definately the way to go - then again we can’t keep going the way we are now though. Am I right?

Business ethics

I think business is business and it totally depends on the person to be ethical or not.
Oxymoron. That word makes me giggle. Tee hee.

Why is Business importnant?

The most recent topic presented to the competitors at this blog camp is “What have you learned about business? Why is business important?“.

I love this topic. Let me begin by saying that Business is not about money. It’s about creating value in people’s lives. In business terms, you could say ‘value add’.

Everybody has a certain level of value to contribute into society. In our capitalist system we assess that value in a monetary fasion. We let things float and people end up paying a price for a certain level of value.

So what is business? Business is the exchange of these valuable things. When we study business we hope to be able to learn to manage the trade of “things” and “services” with all of the tools available out there. It is all about creating more value at less of a cost and getting as much value as you can from others.

If you find this interesting then come to MacEwan and learn business!

Best Places for a romantic Dinner

Every person thinks to himself/herself, what places are the most romantic places to eat in Edmonton? Here is my top 3 list.

The Creperie is a unique affordable French Style Restaurant. Voted ‘most romantic restaurant’, the Creperie’s atmosphere is cozy and warm with its small intimate rooms and flickering candlelight. It is the best restaurant for a romantic night out and very reasonable aswell. Perfect Little Escape to Europe without the flight.

Located in a charming old house circa 1929 the Manor Cafe is a “casual with class” dining atmosphere. It is very emmaculate and charming old world style.

With large windows overlooking the Legislature and Ezio Farone Park every table comes with an amazing view at The Copper Pot Restaurant! These spectacular surroundings, the elegant dining room and unique menu options make The Copper Pot more than just a restaurant; it is a truly unique dining experience.

Relationships and Technology

As a member of Gen Y, I particularly appreciate technology. I love the internet. I love all the people I’ve met through blogging. I know people from almost every continent, and I’ve been able to share my experiences with them and share

I also love texting. I love how convenient it is. I don’t actually know how I ever managed before. I long for the day when I can have my very own Crackberry.

Facebook? I love it. I have been able to find and talk to people I haven’t seen in years. It makes me so happy to keep in touch with my high school buddies, my public relations classmates, my family, etc.

I know several people who believe technology impairs personal relationships. I can’t agree. I don’t think I’m particularly socially impaired, despite my frequent use of technology. I interact more with people because of social networking than I ever did before.

What do you guys think? Would it be better if we could turn back the clock and not use social networking anymore? Are computers the ruination of civilization? (My uncle said this to The Boyfriend, who has two degrees in computing science. It was hilarious.)

Street Fighter, the Pinnacle of the fighting genre.  I may not be as hardcore as some, but I would classify myself as an avid player/fan.  This is one video game that I have grown up since I was a kid, and with the recent release of Street Fighter IV, the love for the series burns even more know.

I hope you enjoy the animated gifs featured above.

ps I’m running out of words to say.  I think a person can only type so much a day and I’ve almost reached my limit.  I shall conserve until the final countdown.

The last 30 seconds of this video are truly magical and epic.  Enjoi

BoomBoxing at the MacEwan BlogCamp

Check out this guy, he rocks:

This guy was really entertaining here at MacEwan. He brought a lot of humor to the competition. Do you know anyone who can beatbox? He told me that there was a little MacEwan Beatbox competition with his friends and that I couldn’t call him the MacEwan Beat Boxer… so I call him the MacEwan BoomBox.

Hahaha.. Anyways enjoy.
