Ehics: A word that is slipping away from most business dictionaries.

Ethics cannot be defined clearly these days but it sure can be located on the downward trend in the market. It is mainly a word that is existant mostly in textbooks because the outside world wants profits at any cost.

Perhaps the quote from the Enron movie is true:

“The greatest invention of the new economy is greed”

At the end of January 2007, I sat on my desk at home thinking to myself, where are you going to do your post secondary? I knew that I wanted to study business but didnot know where. So many options but how to choose? I asked my student advisor at school and guess what, no use asking her. She just gave me more options to choose from.  I just decided to check out places for myself. After visiting U of A, thier gigantic classes were more like watching a movie at cineplex. Then, I was told that it was just year 1 courses that were like that. I hope so. Well then I visited MacEwan. small class sizes. NO BELL CURVE, Profs know you by your name, tution is lower. Just makes sense doesn’t it? Sounds too good to be true, well it is both good and true. I realized it since day one how different education can be. Plus you can always transfer 2 years. But thats all technical jargon. Lets get to the point. Macewan definately has a community sense. You are not walking in crowds of 1000’s where you hardly know someone else. You are not just another number. You are the one. you are the focus at Macewan. Ask any macewanite and you will see why Macewan just makes sense.
