Alberta’s Position in the Current Economy

Back in 2006 the Canadian Economic Observer wrote that Alberta was seeing the largest growth in its history.  Infact it was the largest growth ever reported by any province in Canadian history.

Now… well the growth has subsided and it becomes a matter of the least declining province that people are focusing on.

If we look at local business sentiment:

The BSI surveys companies throughout Alberta to gauge their opinion and sentiment for the coming quarter. Expectations for the second quarter of 2009 have scarcely budged from sentiment that prevailed in the first quarter, receding only slightly from 99.7 to 99.5. (An index value more than 100 indicates optimism, and less than 100 indicates pessimism.) Source

We can get an idea of what everyone is thinking.
