About

On Friday April 3 at noon, MacEwan School of Business of will be holding its first Blogcamp. Blogcamp is a great opportunity for up to 50 Grant MacEwan bloggers to show their stuff over nine hours (from noon to 9 p.m.).

Top prize? How about a brand new MacBook? Is that worth nine hours of your time? There will be loads of other great prizes as well. Don’t worry about fuel: we’re providing munchies and caffeine. Our generous sponsors are helping out with prizes and other fun stuff.

So what do you have to do to win? Well, we’ll come up with a list of topics for you to blog about and we’ll even let you blog about a couple that you choose. You’re going to be online, so you’ll be able to blog, do a bit of research and state your case in your blog post. You can even use audio, video and pictures to create the best blog posts and win that MacBook.

And how do you win? Well, it’s going to be democratic. You write the post and everyone online can come in and vote on it. Voters give your posts a thumbs up or thumbs down. Whoever comes out ahead in terms of net thumbs up is the winner. Sound good? Who doesn’t want a MacBook?

Register for Edmonton’s first Blogcamp or get directions to the MacEwan downtown campus.

We welcome all of Edmonton and Alberta to come in to Grant MacEwan’s main campus and check out Blogcamp. If you can’t make it, it will be online via webcast and we encourage you to vote and register your opinion on all the contestants’ blog posts.

Follow BlogCamp on Twitter

We’ve designated the hashtag for BlogCamp as #gmacbiz. So, if you’d like to follow along on Twitter and see what’s happening, go on Twitter search and type in that hashtag.
